Sunrise Rugby Football Club, founded in 1963 in Liefeldt Location, King William’s Town, is more than just a sports club — it’s a legacy of community, discipline, and empowerment. Established by young men returning from the mines, Sunrise RFC has grown into a structured organisation dedicated to youth development through rugby. The club provides opportunities for orphaned and disadvantaged children, fostering teamwork, resilience, and leadership on and off the field. Guided by a dedicated executive committee, Sunrise RFC continues to unite generations, nurture local talent, and inspire hope across the Eastern Cape.
